Eligibility
Age: 18
ID Requirements
To Register: No voter registration required (only state without registration). Must present valid ID at the polls showing name, current ND residential address, and date of birth: ND driver's license, ND state ID, tribal government-issued ID (including BIA-issued), or long-term care facility certificate. Supplemental documents (utility bill, bank statement, government document) accepted if ID lacks current address.

Registration Methods
- Online: This state does not offer online voter registration. Residents must register by mail or in person.
- Mail: This state does not offer voter registration by mail. Residents must register online or in person.
- In Person: This state does not offer in-person voter registration at government offices. Residents must register online or by mail.
Early Voting
A period before Election Day during which voters can cast their ballots in person at designated polling locations. The length of the early voting period varies by state.
In-person early voting available at county auditor offices at least 15 days before election.
Mail-In / Absentee Voting
A voting method where ballots are automatically mailed to all registered voters without requiring a specific request. States that use this approach conduct elections primarily or entirely by mail.
No-excuse absentee voting available. Application required.
Felony Voting Rules
